Not part of the MEGA deal but I am eagerly awaiting my PDC 18/4 either today or tomorrow.... I went with the PDC 18/4 Li 4,2 Set XL QUADRIVE.... Gave my 18v Dewalt drill to my younger son (#3 of 4 , 12 years old).

Poor kid  [big grin]

It's a life lesson. You need to experience the bad to appreciate the good!

Anyone noticed there's now an nfc button on the app so it can communicate with some of the newer tools. It can show info about run times etc. So far I think it's only the new brushless sander that does it.

whoaaaa! Fancy. Can't wait till they start incorporating that across all their tools.

Too bad iPhone users have crippled NFC.  [tongue]

i saw a deal like this the other week on ebay but didnt properly check who the seller was or anything. missed out on it in the end anyway. fingers crossed another batch go on ebay soon

Wow this thing is fast. I've had a couple of 18v li-ion makitas for years now ,one being the heavier metal gearbox version. As I expected the pdc is better as it's newer technology but I hadn't reallized how much faster it spins. It's gonna be great for drilling out locks .

Im gonna get depth stop it will be great for screwing into metal stud

Had a quick play with the drill and I think it will be all that I was expecting .
However on closer inspection the systainer and the insert are definitely not !

Ordered Mine Thursday on the 'second wind' (thanks Chris!) and it arrived today. Like a lot of others, I didn't really *need* it, but at that price - why not?  [big grin]

Cheers, Pete

My Mrs said the same thing....."Why didn't you buy 2?" she said....normally, when a Festool box arrives she says..."What the hell have you been buying now"......You just cant win!!!!  ::)

This is a dangerous place.  Saw this last week and made it tool number 4 in my collection in the last couple of months...  Hopeful it might turn up tomorrow!

Ian

Me too, 10 items since august, I said I was going to wait a few months before buying anything else but then this came up. My mate bought one the same time as me. He got his today but still no sign of mine. Gutted

Thanks, when I get some spare time I might do some small reviews on some of the festools I've bought, I mainly do barn conversions so tools are used in various situations, I purchased the sword saw a couple of months ago and it's been used every day, I must say it's an awesome piece of kit but there are a few niggles with it too

damn it. haven't been on the FOG for a while and missed out on this one  [crying] [crying]

well done to everyone who got theirs, a nice early Xmas present

Biggest niggle for me is it only has a base 1 side of the blade. I wanted 1 for gang cutting rafters but it bevels wrong way for the head of the rafters

Got back today to find mine had arrived. All present and correct. Fantastic. Thanks again for the heads up guys!

Got mine yesterday, used it the first time this morning... Don't leave it on number 4 and drive a screws in with it, it's so blooming fast I nearly fell off my step ladder  [embarassed]

Thanks for posting the eBay link  [thumbs up]

Mine arrived today all safe and sound. Haven't used it properly yet but it looks like a beautiful tool. Glad I bought it. Thanks again to the OP for telling us about it.
