They had to pay for the shampoo at the xmas party somehow [wink]

'shampoo at the xmas party'? Please explain this reference? It's lost on me...

Yeah my old Makita 18v lxt has caught me out a couple of times so I'm sure the pdc can give you a nasty whack!

I can attest to the fact that it can... [blink]

Having said that, I never use the additional handle. If I'm using it in a situation where I feel it could grab in the material, I simply brace the drill with my left hand on/underneath the battery pack (apart from that first time, obviously [embarassed]).

Yeah that's what I've always done. Only ever used my Makita side handle a few times

Like many of you, mine also arrived today.  Seems some of the "second wave" received theirs before the "first wave", quite interesting and all good.

The plastic insert on mine is damaged and the hinge pin on the systainer had popped out, it's had a ding during transit but everything looks ok otherwise and nothing was dislodged.

I'm wondering if the drills were so cheap because perhaps they didn't quite comply with quality control?  The reason I say that is I can see some rub marks on the inside of the systainer, on the drill, the battery, angled chuck and handle.  It's absolutely fine because it's a drill so it's going to get used.  Just wondered what you think?

Also did your bit holder come installed in the Centrotec chuck and the bit itself was still in the the magnetic holder on the drill?

Either way it was still a heck of a deal, thank you jonny round boy and joiner1970.
I can use it immediately on a project which will be quite satisfying not having to change bits over all the time.

Pwoah the hammer mode is loud  ;D gonna love me on site when I use that function.

p.s.the delivery guy left it in my back garden, shhhhhhh

I'd assume Festool UK guys on the forum (surely somewhere?) would be able to answer that but they were sold as new so although a couple appear to have arrived/delivered with bumped systainers and interiors (really annoying I'd think) they should be otherwise as new and without any QC issues, not got mine yet and wondering about this loud hammer action!

Mine arrived today  [big grin] absolutely perfect, brand new in perfect condition,
Thank you to all involved in bringing this awesome deal to my attention!

Got mine today, also in a bit of a scuffed up condition, mines got particularly a lot of marks on the front metal part of the drill itself and on the angle chuck and some black finger marks on systainer. Again not fussed but thought the same that perhaps this is why they were cheaper although it seems most ones received have been fine.
Very noisy hammer function indeed [eek]

Mac I had the same problem with the hinge pin hanging out when I unpacked mine. Just pushed it back in and everything else was fine.

This is bordering on the paranormal , as well as damage to the bottom left corner of my tloc the left hand hinge pin also fell out when I took it out of the box.
