Joiner1970 messaged me earlier asking about my PDC 18, as he'd found a good deal on it & wanted to know if I thought it was worth it...

Festool UK are selling PDC 18/4 'SET' versions on eBay at the moment via there official eBay user ID (so seems genuine!) for a stunningly low price of £285.00, plus £7.50 p&p. Even more unbelievably, it seems they've accepted offers below this price.

List price on this drill is £637.20. Best price I can find from any online dealer is £418.00 (Healey's tools via eBay). FFX and N&B, usually the cheapest dealers on most things, have it at £474 and £470 respectively.

I don't know why TTS are doing this so cheap - I'm sure a lot of their dealers will be massively pissed off by this!!!

It's currently showing as more than 10 available, so if you've thought about getting one but haven't yet, now is most definitely the time!

If I were you, I would JUMP and JUMP FAST! Looks legit and a heck of a great price [tongue].

I'm tempted to call one of the Brit pilots I work with in Nigeria who lives in England to grab one and get it to me later. (Always good to have a spare, eh??)

Cheers,

Frank

Sorry folks I was going to post about this deal earlier but I had to buy one first before the mad rush lol

its direct from festool so totally legit

That's a sick deal. Whoever has been importing the NAINA stuff could grab that stock and make a killing here.

No worries I found it by mistake while bored earlier browsing ebay lol. Then asked Jonny what he thought of the PDC I didn't wait for his reply and just bought one lol.

They were down to last 2 when I bought one but it looks like theres more now but they wont last for ever.

No problem, I'm just gutted when I think about how much more I paid for mine...

Looking at the list of bidders/buyers, it seems that one guy has bought 21 of them!

Getting it over might be a problem though - it's illegal to ship Li-Ion batteries (particularly that size) via any form of air freight out of the UK. Surface shipping only.

Any idea why they list it Cordl.ham.drill PDC 18/4 Li 4,2 Set GB, and not with proper description?
Why not use festool in description?

I wouldn't worry I've seen a few items before that tts put on eBay and theyre quite often badly worded [emoji3]

The model number I was given is 769195 that should tell you what you get :)

Thanks for the heads up .Just bought one. Even if you decide you don't like it you will make money selling it on so its a no brainer  [big grin] .
Cheers, Dave.

I think the person that lists them is probably an office junior whos got lumped with doing the ebay stuff ;)

I came very close to buying one the other day for £470 so a great saving for sure. Spent the difference on sortianers to make a megga sortianer ala JRB:)

Cheers JRB and Joiner1970.... :)

I just bought one, been tempted to buy one for a while now and at that price......well, Xmas has come early.

Fingers crossed it arrives!!!!!!

Maybe Festool Phil can shed a bit more light on this subject.....!!!!!??????

Tim.

Bought one. Not sure I need it at the moment, but my wife offered to buy it me for Xmas.  [wink]

Any idea which systainer it comes with?

A Sys 2, I believe.

EDIT.

If this SET is the same as the 769195, then it is supposed to come with a SYS 2 DF ( the one with the extra storage in the lid and the transparent cover....????)

Thanks for posting this. I bought one even though I don't need it for anything in particular at the moment. A good investment I think!

Dear FOG,

My name is mac and I'm a recovering Festool addict.  Well not really.

I have to fess up; I have just bought one of them.  Thanks for the heads up guys.
I truly hope nobody gets into trouble for this, I'd hate somebody to loose their job over this.  If it means I don't get the drill for £285 plus postage, then I'd rather that than somebody get sacked.

I'm curious to find out how this has happened.  Has anybody made a best offer?  Asking for a further discount seems poor form to me.

joiner1970 - where did you find the model number from?  I can't see it anywhere - webpage, eBay invoice, nothing?

We shall see.

Thanks again, Merry Christmas to us I guess?
