MFK 700 - 5/8 wide Edge Band question

I recently purchased a MFK 700 to trim 5/8 deep, (3/4 thick) edge banding.  What size bit should I use for this application?  A 3/4 deep bit doesn't fit between the collet and the 1.5 degree base.  Using the 5/8 deep bit works but requires 2 passes.

A 1/4 diameter by 5/8 long bit won't go low enough to the surface to even make contact, so I assume the tool is designed for larger than 1/4 diameter bits?

Is there an ideal bit that I should be using for this application?
