MFK700 in horizontal mode, how to trim around corners

hi. i am using my mfk700 with the 0 degree base to flush trim 1/2" thick edging on plywood panels. i already glued up all four sides of the panels assuming this would be no problem. the edging is currently about 1/16" raised above the panels.

when i get to the corners i am not able to pivot the router around the corner. is there some trick to this or is 1/2" deep edging to much for the mfk700?

I don't get what you mean by 'i am not able to pivot the router around the corner'... do you mean it will not physically pass the edging?
What cutter are you using? If it's the HW D 19/16 S8 trimming bit, then half inch edging is too big.
1/2" = 12.7mm; √(12.7mm²x2) = 17.96mm maximum cut as you pass the corner at 45° versus cutter length of 16mm.

I think what you are trying to do won't work.

Adjust the follower bearing back towards the cord end. The fence cut outs are binding on the perpendicular edge band.

Run a dry test without the bit to get a feel for going around the corner.
