mfs 700 question

does it need an mft top to use? or can I use it on my own workbench that doesnt have holes.

You can use it in many places. I use it clamped in vertical positions commonly. There are t-slots that fit the various Festool clamps perfectly. This means that you are only limited by how you can clamp it.
