MFT/3 Extension tables

I would like to add some extension wings onto my MFT/3 table.

I don't think that Festool sells them anymore and would probably rather build a set anyway.

Does anyone have a creative way to connect to the v rail on the MFT/3 possibly using what their router table uses, or another spare part from another part of the Festool system?

I am very happy with my FastCap Best Fence System; in addition to right and left fences, a fence stop, there are 2 3rd Hand adjustable jacks to support the off ends, and specially designed mounts for the MFT/3.  I have the system for the MFT/3 and the Kapex (the mounts are slightly different) and hardily recommend it.

If I am not mistaken the Kapex extensions will fit the MFT/3. Using some of the parts of these you could build your own wings. That is also possible without any Festool-hardware. I have seen homebrewed wings. Google and you'll find some, esp. on YouTube.

That is correct, the UG wings DO fit right on to the MFT/3. It's not a huge work surface though, here is an example, and I know there are a couple of options for a clamp for the MFT/3 side profile that you add your own lumber to as needed, multiblades maybe..?

Photo 1.) Piece of 3x2 bolted to MFT/3 T-track with 3 bolts. Threaded inserts in top of 3x2 for connection of extension worktop. The 3x2 stays permanently attached and makes set-up really quick and easy.
Photo 2.) Extension tables are bolted to the 3x2. The frame and leg was a ladder. Apart from the Festool MFT/3 fences and flag stops they cost very little but work very well.

Mitre saw extension tables don't have the width for supporting sheet goods. The Kapex UG extensions are a nuisance to fit to the MFT as the T-track on the MFT profile gets in the way, but the way the UG extensions work with a bolt to set the angle/height of the leg/table is genius, so I copied the idea for these MFT table extensions.
These work fine for sheet goods up to 905mm wide.
