Hi all, I have an MFT/3 that I use regularly, but I often find it too short in length.  I would like to extend it by 24".  Any suggestions on how to do that and maintain alignment with the hole grid?  Thanks, Len.

Len,

You could buy another MFT table with connector rails.  The hole alignment is pretty good.  Another option that I am actively exploring is purchasing the MFT extension table #203457.  I think it was originally designed to work with the MW 1000 mobile workshop.  But It works with all the MFT table rails.  The rough table dimensions are 40 x 20 inches and weighs 27 pounds.  I like the idea of moving it easily around the basic MFT to support material.  Maybe two would be even better!

I'm using the mw1000 extension table and am mostly happy with it.

To square up the tables I am using 1 connection bar along the front of my mft. The holes are parallel but are not in line with the mft dog holes. At some point i plan on remaking both table tops at the same time so that all the dog holes are lined up.

The price is a lot cheaper than buying another mft and it is almost as wide as a regular mft. I'm debating picking up a second extension table.

Make a new top. Make it as big as you want. You could also go to a CNC shop to have them make one for you as well.

Cheers. Bryan.
