Had an MFT 3 delivered July 9th and wasn't back in town to set it up until 8/5.

While putting it together, the bracket that holds the back end of the  guide rail was very hard to slide across the back v-groove on the side rail. Took a close look and the v-groove was dented. Ran out to the trash to grab the box it was delivered in and it wasn't damaged, just a little pushed in.

The MFT 3 ships with styrofoam on the corners, then a big cardboard box. As substantial as the side rails are, They are really pretty exposed to shipping damage. I'd recommend looking at them closely if you have one shipped.

The great news is that Festool customer service quickly offered to send me a replacement side rail. I just installed it and was very impressed at the engineering that went into this table. If that replacement rail was a part for a car, there's no doubt in my mind it would be a $100 to $200 part. Kind of puts the price of the overall table, guide rail and angle unit in perpsective.
