MFT/3 Kapex (Mini) + UG extensions

I have the cart and am not really satisfied with it (no place to put a tape, pencil, square, etc and a little too rickety). I as comparing the size of the UG Cart and the MFT/3 Kapex and it looks like clearance for turning the clamp screws on the UG extension will be tight.

Are they designed to work together?

  Yes, they work together. The knobs are a little harder to turn when using the table because of the clearance, as you noted. But it is completely doable. I use the table rather than the cart myself. Like you, I like to have the small places to set things down. The V channel is perfect for pencils.
    It is also handy to have the small table  for use as a small work bench.
