MFT/3 parts.

:'( Last September while traveling through Portland from Canada, I ordered a demo MFT/3 table from a local dealer. It was shipped to the Portland store. On my way back through I stopped to pick it up. It was missing all of the parts except the guide rail. I was disappointed to say the least. Went back to my hotel looked on the Festool site and found that I could buy a package of parts as an upgrade from the basic table. So I went and negotiated a price and took the table home. A bit later
I tried to order through my usual supplier in B.C. and the part package had disappeared .

How can I complete my MFT/3?

Bill,

I don't recall that we have ever offered a complete hardware "kit" for the MFT/3.  However, all of the parts can be ordered individually.  I would suggest that you call our service department (their number is below in my signature) and they can provide you with a list of component you need including part numbers and prices.

Are you sure it's the MFT/3?  Dealers should not be selling their demo units of current products.  There was a hardware kit available for the older MFT 1080.

I have verified with Dan at Ultimate Woodworking that it is indeed MFT/3.
And maybe the kit that I saw was for the older unit and I did not understand this.

I don't believe they are. The MFT/3s have different aluminum extrusions so the guide rail hardware is not the same. Fence and miter head are completely different too.

Like Brice said, the guide rail mounts won't work unaltered.

The fence and angle unit should work though. The angle unit mounts to the holes in the table. The fence is also shorter.

Thanks everyone for the help. Dan at Ultimate tools found someone just wanting the table, and called me last week. I now have a complete table.
