Hi everyone,

Just curious how many MFT/3's other Foggers have in their arsenal.  Personally I only have one complete version and one MFT Kapex.  I have been toying with the idea of adding another table as it would be so useful for many things.  So, I thought it would be fun to post a poll.  There are a number of options and configurations and so I stopped at 13  [eek], but feel free to vote for whatever is closest and then add comments.  I realize that the 1080 and 800 are not listed, but just vote for prior generation and add commentary if you want to share.

Thanks!

Scot

I have 6 MFT 1080's, an 800 and an MFT Kapex. One of the 1080's used to be an 800 that I converted to a 1080 and two of the 1080's I just picked up from someone who was locally selling them. I could always sell some if I want!

I'm short so the height of the 1080's & 800's always appealed to me and they seem way more stable without having to purchase extra supports!

One MFT/3 complete and one MFT Kapex. Planning to add two MFT basic.
Cheers
Luis

I have one complete MFT3. I wouldn't mind another one, but I definitely be buying Tim's plans and building his moble setup soon.
Im actually really looking forward to building/owning it. I think it would be more beneficial than another mft for me.

I bought 1 MFT/3 Complete and 2 MFT/3 Basic as a set shortly after they became available.

Before I moved into my new huge shop in 2010 I used my gaggle of MFT/3 as a team, very much as Steve Bace and Brian Sedgeley teach in End User Classes.

These days those MFT/3 are not in daily use. They are kept polished so thy look magnificent when they are needed on a site. The tops all have some saw grooves, which I believe prove they have experience.

I also have a parallel guide set with extensions, also for use on sites.

One 1080 complete and one 800 complete. Plus the original "protractor" fence.  No reason to upgrade to new models.

I have a MFT/3 complete, 1080 and a 800.

With plans on adding one or two more MFT basics.  Funny how a table with a bunch of holes can be so appealing.

Two MFTs with braces AND an extension that supports a heavy duty woodworking vise. Without a real vise, the MFTs are just fancy card tables for a serious woodworker. The extension allows me to cross saw large boards held in the vise with absolutely no rocking of the MFT. The hole pattern with Qwas dogs is cute as is the tracksaw rail setup, but the ability to clamp up a big hunk oy wood and plane it or saw it makes the MFTs into real tools.

I can't replay to your poll because it does not list my option, that being one MFT 800.  I used to own an MFT 1080 as well but sold it about 6 months ago.  And MFT 3 is probably somewhere in my future.

I agree...at first they just seem like a fancy bench or table that appears gimmicky...but man, once you use it you understand -- it is my most used Festool of the bunch since it gets used on 100% of my projects.  I have used three of them in the Festool user classes and at the Festool Road School last week seeing Allen manipulate two of them to build the dining table was very appealing -- being able to reconfigure makes so much sense and I find that I need a handy place to stack parts while building...

Man -- I think you might win the most MFTs contest, if there were one...that is quite a collection!

You need to redo all of those permutations with a VL option !  [wink]

I have a complete MFT3, but I find it so useful for sanding, assembly etc. I would like another bare bones one so I don't have to remove the fence when working on larger items. It would also be useful as a infeed or outfeed table.

I have an MFT/3 Complete and two MFT KAPEX, so there isn't an option for me. I've selected one MFT/3 Complete and one MFT KAPEX, 'cause technically I do have that many... ;-)

Silly question, are those levels just happen to be set there for the moment? Or are they doing something specific on the bench?

One complete MFT/3 and one basic. Regret not getting the second one  complete I think would have been much more useful for only 100 bucks more.
