MFT/3 Quick Question

I just got my first MFT/3 a couple days ago.  Loving it in the shop, and I can already see ho much time it will save me in the field.

One curiosity I can't figure out...

There seem to be 2 mounting positions on each corner assembly for the legs.  It looks like if I move the legs to the inner position (it came assembled in the outer one) it will just cause the table to be a little shorter and the legs have a wider stance.

Is this the only reason for the extra holes, or am I missing something?

The extra holes are so that one set of legs will fold inside the other set.  Otherwise, one set of legs would fold on top of the other set and therefore, stick out a lot and not be as compact.

it came assembled in the outer one

It should have come with the legs on one end in the outer holes and on the other end in the inner holes.
