here is my variation of the set up I discovered here from Hal McCoy

I've attached to my own 8020 MFT and made a track attachment to hold the saw in the up position

cheers

Hiya,

I love the design, especially the hinge.  I'm not familiar with the Woodpecker's item within the track.  It looks like that is what the hinge and plate are bolted to.  Can you tell me what that is?

Cool, thanks.  I actually have several of those and didn't even think about them.  Thanks again.

Great design.
I have 80/20 and planning to make MFT,  which 80/20 parts did you use to make the hinge assembly?

No connection on the far end? I think the track would move out of square at least a couple MM if a bit of sideways force is put on the "non-hinge" end, no?

at first, I use a flip stop at the other end to keep it square, but now I switched to a short parf dog works very well!
