So I am thinking of building the MF-TC Tool cart with an MFT top of some variation. I have the ripdogs which will allow me to setup a very square setup for cutting boards. I do not have any of the festool MFT table components as I am just getting around to building the MFT top.
My question is this; Does someone have a setup or idea that would attach to a set of dogs to make up an adjustable stop for cutting boards repetitive? I know that I could attach rip guides or parallel guides but then it would have to be removed every time you do a cut I was looking for something that stays with the top, just like the ripdogs would.
Also a second question about the rip dogs; Has anyone thought about putting a set of springs under the track with the rip dogs? The springs would not have to be strong, just enough to lift the track up slightly. This would then allow everything to stay on the table and you are just sliding the wood into the setup.
I hope I have clarified everything .. but let me know if I missed something or you have another idea!
