bigchas said:Exact same thing happened to mine. I bought in April and by December/Jan itvwentbtge same way. It had been sitting in my brick built garage which has no damp issues so it must have just been moisture in the air. Festool sent me a new top via my dealer. It's still packaged up in the garage and I've left the original on.
I've got some shop display cabinets to do soon so will need to sort it out for that.
I'd suggest getting in touch with your dealer or festool directly and try some treatments like have been suggested.
Where in the UK are you?
I'm down South, not far outside London. Sorry to hear it's happened to you as well!

Two out of thousands does not a pattern make.

Totally agree with that sentiment; the only caveat being (my presumption) that in the UK the top is going to be exposed to greater variations in moisture/humidity (it rains here more often than not) which may affect the suitability of the table as a 'proper' site tool here (that is one that isn't going to sit setup in a dry warm workshop for 52 weeks of the year)
Definitely going to have to look into sealing the top as ideally once I get round to racking out my van the table will live in there the majority of the time - unloading systainers from the van into storage is one thing but lugging the table though the garden to the garage every night (in the rain!) will quickly get tedious
