Festool has recently changed their web site and it does not include the table only.  Did they quit selling like that?  I'm trying to make my wish list and it definitely needs an additional table.

Don,

The MFT 800 and 1080 Basic are still available from some dealers but they have been discontinued.  The missing items on the Festool USA website was a mistake on our part.

You can still get the table only. I did last week, went to my local Woodcraft, where I have done a lot of business and was able to have them take the hardware out of a MFT 1080 and sell it to me as a basic.

Don T.,

I tried to buy an MFT 800 basic last Friday (Feb. 22, 2008) at Hartville Tool, but they were out of stock.  They did have complete units.  I contacted an ISA yesterday and he indicated there were 5 MFT 800 basics left when he checked central warehouse stocks.  The FestoolUSA website shows them as no longer available because they are in transition to the new MFT3.  The ISA indicated that Festool is planning to allow their dealers to sell their demo MFT 800s and MFT 1080s after the MFT3 becomes available.  Pricing is not yet announced; the tables may be refurbished before resale.  I've lined up purchase of one of these 1080s in case I am not successful in purchasing a new 800 basic.  There are no price breaks on new units at thiis time.

MFT1080 basic (just the table, minus the hardware) is $345. Then you need 2 MFT connectors at $11.50 each. Dealers can take the hardware out of a MFT and sell it to you as basic. They're more likely to do this for you if you are buying several items or have been a regular customer.

hey thanks,
i have spent over 6 gran at woodcraft last year, according to their running total of me.  the problem is they have to find one.

Woodcraft is advertising free shipping. You can have your local Woodcraft contact the Seattle dealer.
