MFT: what are you doing about glue ups?

I'm very interested in previous comments about coating the MFT surface with different substances.  Wax seems intereting.  Any disadvantages?

A light coat of shellac would be no problem, but I would be wary of wax.  Firstly, if you use the MFT for clamping - slipperiness is not a good thing.  Secondly wax could transfer to the workpiece and interfere with a finish.  If you use it, I would suggest a very light coat and a thorough buffing.

I use an old shower curtain. When needed I poke holes through it for clamps. Works fine for me.
