I am setting up my new mft and would like to know if the guide rail should be squared to the edge of the mdf table or is it just to be square to the miter bar?  When I installed the back guide rail and clamped on the guide its about 3 degrees out of square relative to the edge of the actual mdf table
Thanks
KC

I have mine square to the miter bar. Saturday I assembled my MFS and checked it against that and it wad dead on. It is important to make sure you have the stop set for the miter bar. When squaring make sure the front of the guide rail is setting in the front rail support.

Makes no difference whether it is square to the table (unless it drives you crazy visually).  As long as it is perpendicular to the cut line (guide rail), you will have true cuts.  If you want it square to the table, it is a simple matter to adjust the guide rail holders so that the guide rail(saw kerf path) is true perpendicular to the table itself.

Square your rail to the miter bar. ENSURE that the rail is engaged in the protrusion on the front rail holder and the miter bar is tightened underneath the table; as these are two common oversights.
