I am in need of a replacement fence for an mft3. The aluminum extrusion that the flag stop rides in, and is what you square your work piece against on an mft3. Can’t for the life of me find the part number. Bought a second hand mft3 and this part is missing. Thanks in advance, spent an hour searching to no avail.

Hi, I’m pretty sure this is the part number: FSP-475217.A 475217

Please check it though, as one of my MFT’s had the fence missing, and the dealer and I had a real adventure trying to find the number. It was so bad at the time, in the end, the dealer asked me to take everything back to the store, and they replaced the whole thing.

Some time later, the dealer sent me an email, and stated the above as the part number.

I think 475217 is the relevant part of the number.

Correct. And FYI: it CAN be found on the Festool ekat site:
The MFT/3 is under "Arbeitsplatz organisieren" onhttps://ekat.festool.de (German - there may be an english language site somewhere, but the diagrams are quite easy to navigate…)'

Thanks for confirmation Bert, when mine was missing a good few years back, even Festool were a bit vague about it, and the dealer kept presenting me with a much shorter fence, which I think was from the CMS.  [wink]

Yeah, and to confuse things even more, there is also a fence profile the same length as the MFT/3 one, without the notch to accommodate the guide. (Really handy to have, though!)

So I bought the mft3 second hand, to add to my current mft3, and plan to use other fence/dogs/etc in place of the stock arrangement. That said I probably won’t work real hard at finding another one, but am trying to get the seller to replace it as it was advertised as complete, and new in the box. It was new, but missing the guide rail and the fence which festool call a stop.

If I end up deciding or needing to replace it I may reach out. Thanks to all that took the time to reply!
