New FOG member and looking to buy an MFT3 and TS55. I only have a small workshop measuring 14ft x 11ft and want to make storage under the MFT and sit the MFT on it with the legs folded. Anyone have any good ideas or examples please.

Great site by the way.

Welcome to the FOG.  Do some searching and you'll find many folks here have built what you are looking to do.  Besides the search function here, I find a standard browser is often more effective if I use something like "mft cart;festool owners group".  Here's one example inspired by a few folks who had the original idea.  If you keep the dimensions the same as the MFT3, then you can still use the sides of the MFT for clamping vertically.

Here's my setup - I have 2 MFT/3s that are sitting on top of cabinets (I took off their legs entirely) and then 2 that are freestanding.

I'm in a similar shop 12x16 and I think you should consider not doing a permanent setup. I'm constantly rearranging and taking my tables down during the course of a project. My view may change some day but for now while I'd love the added storage of an mft cart I'm staying away from it.

I too think working through and taking advantage of the ability to keep your setups fluid is a great way to go. I seem to be constantly be evolving in my workflow and storage efficiency. This avoids the “ if I had to do it over again I would ......” scenario
