MFT3

Looking for some advice.  Just bought a second-hand MFT3 of ebay.  Bit scruffy but they don't come up often.  Had to by a new top as it had a solid piece of 25mm mdf but not sure how it should be fixed down.  The original top had a 6mm insert in each corner and fixed down with cap headed bolts.  New top has a 8mm holes in each corner.  Do I reuse the threaded inserts?  Only parts diagram I can find doesn't make it clear.

Factory Festool tops have always come with the the threaded inserts. You situation sounds unusual.  Where did you get the top from?

That also came from eBay it's one of the cnc ones advertised.  Will transfer the inserts across.  Also have some new ones I bough from Trend many years ago hidden somewhere if I need them.
