Micro-adjuster for CMS fence

It's possible to use that adjuster but it isn't a straight forward fit because the dust outlet would get in the way.

I think using one of these micro adjusters would be easier.

??? was talking about the fence on the CMS table....

I think either would be a bit of a contraption and that both could be done. One would be likely easier and less expensive. I don't see any value in making the fence move parallel to anything so a pivoting mechanism would work fine.

The dust chute that the hose connects with comes out of the middle rear quite close to the table. That would mean that the WP product can't push there but would have to be offset.

I see a value Tom.  When using the sliding table you'd want to be able to adjust the fence parallel to the table.

I thought about that, Brice. I don't have the slider yet so I can't be certain but I don't think I'd want to use them both together. I might change my mind later...

I would love to see a micro adjust that would keep the fence parallel. The way the fence mounts on the cms is its weakest link.

Agreed.  It's not a deal breaker but it doesn't seem like the kind of well engineered feature we've come to expect from Festool.

Perhaps the most elegant way to attain a parallel fence setup with fine adjustmentwould be to incorporate the right side v-groove and a Festool fence attachment such as they use on the TS fences or Pecisio fences. I will cast around for a link but if you go to the International site and take a look at the Precisio you will see a fence attachment point at the v-groove. It already has a fine adjuster built in. One would need to fashion an attachment point to the housing of the CMS fence and use one of the tightening screws to secure the housing to the table once an adjustment is made but this way it would be almost completely 'Festool'. The only question is whether there is enough room on the side groove to attach it behind infeed fence.

The concept would be similar to the way a Kreg router table is set up, using a tablesaw type fence adjustment.
