If the gauge allows the user to adjust the scale (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc.), it would be quite useful.

It does not allow the scale to be adjusted.  I'm sure someone could come up with something that did so; it's basic geometry (and the pythagorean theorem that he was quoting has very little to do with it).

A similar layout with different angles should get you 1/3 or 1/4, but it would be best for them to be fixed ratios rather than adjustable.  I would sure hope they patented it, though, so don't go printing and selling your own version.

Might be worth reaching out to them to see if they have 1/3 or 1/4 in the works?
