Mini First Aid Systainer Orders and Payments *DEADLINE 2-20-2015*

That is no problem!  You have put an amazing amount of time, care, and energy into these kits--so I guess we can let the occasional typo slip ;D  I'll be sending my payment shortly!

Payment sent for one. If I bought from you before, does that mean that you still have my shipping info? Thanks for all of your hard work!

Yes it does, and I have yours. Thanks!

There have been some complaints recently about forum clutter, and I may have inadvertently contributed to it. Sorry about that!

In the interest of keeping future clutter to a minimum, may I please request the following:

• Please DON'T post just to say you sent payment or something similar. I will update the order list every few days, and you can check it then. If you need to verify that I have received your payment before I next update the list, please send an email to me at 'me@usmac.net' and I'll get back to you.

• Please DO post questions or comments if you believe it might be helpful to other members as well as yourself. Although I think I have been clear and accurate, mistakes and misunderstandings do happen.

Finally, I will try to do my part by only posting updates every few days up until the deadline on the 20th. With that in mind, here is the latest update:

[attachthumb=1]

I will post the next update on Friday or Saturday, depending on when payments come in. Thanks for your understanding.

elvi679, you had me ROTFLMAO and you have NO idea why. Have you served as a straight-man all of your life, or was this an accident? Your question couldn't have been a better set-up if I had PAID you!

OK - let me explain.

NOBODY had any idea this was happening, so I can't believe the timing. This afternoon I picked up a little surprise:

Front and left end:

[attachimg=1]

Front and right end:

[attachimg=2]

I knew that, unlike the full-size First Aid Systainer, this one would likely bounce around in vehicles and stuff. I wanted it to be even MORE identifiable if possible. So here's my surprise for everyone - the back:

[attachimg=3]

Yes, I realize that the image is slightly askew. The fixturing wasn't quite right for this one, but will be for the actual run.

This is not a mock-up. It's an actual, printed Mini First Aid Systainer.

It is EXACTLY what you will get, with two exceptions:

1. The image on the back will be straight  [embarassed]

2. This one is a Festool Systainer, but I will be shipping the Tanos version so it doesn't have the clashing green.  If anyone wants to pay extra for a Festool one ( I sure wouldn't ) PM or email me.

So THANKS elvi. I couldn't have asked for a better partner or lead-in tonight!

[thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

(And you are on the list!)

I would like to suggest an addition:  ice pack.

I took my daughter to Tae Kwon Do with me one evening and she happened to sprain her ankle. Luckily I had my work truck and the Medtainer.  The ice pack  helped control the swelling and helped calm her.
Don't worry if it's too much to add, I'm going to go order a box of 24 so in ready for the next time ;)

Dan:

it's an excellent suggestion, and I had considered it, but there just isn't enough room for a cold pack to fit in the Mini-Systainer and have much of anything else in there. As it is you have to jump up and down on the lid to get it closed!

OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration...but hopefully you get my point.

In the end I chose to go with the quik-klot over a cold pack because quik-klot  is lifesaving. But you are welcome to modify your kit so it more closely meets your needs? Heck, I'd encourage it!

And thanks for the suggestion!

  Why not just get two of them, lock them together and fill the second one with the extra stuff you want. You could save the stuff originally in the second one for back-ups for the first.

That's actually a pretty intriguing suggestion--which leads to another question for wow.  Is it possible to order an empty mini first aid systainer?  Not a problem if you don't want to deal with the extra headache, just curious.

Another one - yes. An empty one - sorry, no.

But I agree that it's a good idea. And the second one shouldn't need the First Aid identification as long as it stays attached to the marked one, right?

Apparently I can't read a calendar -

or at least I couldn't when I set the deadline? I don't know what month I was looking at, but I would never knowingly schedule the deadline for a Friday. So...I am extending it until noon on Tuesday, February 24th.

I have received and reconciled payment for 41 kits so far. That's the good news. The bad news is that I have also received two other payments but no shipping information, so I don't know who they belong to? If you sent a payment, please check the list carefully to see if your name is missing, or if you aren't marked 'paid'. Since I already have your money, just send me your shipping info and I will apply your payment accordingly.

Also, there are 5 FOGgers who signed up who have not yet paid. If you were one of them but are no longer interested, simply let me know and I will remove your name from the list. But if you forgot to pay and still want one, be sure to send your payment by noon on Tuesday, OK?

Finally, there is still time to order if you want one (or more  [big grin]). Just send me your payment and your shipping information by noon on Tuesday.

I have been asked to make this the last First Aid Systainer offering for a while, which I have no problem with as it was my intent anyway. I need a break. But it means...

THERE WILL NOT BE A SECOND RUN. If you want one, buy it now.*

Ok, here's the latest list. Check it over to be sure that I have your name and payment information  properly noted. Despite the fact that I try to be perfect, I *have* been known to make a mistake. Let me know if there's something I need to correct?

[attachimg=1]

*Disclosure: I will be ordering a few extra in case any are lost or damaged. If and when I decide to sell them, they will be $125 shipped to the continental US.

Did I ever mention how amazing all of you are?

I have worked with groups before to do 'special projects', and it's rare to get more than 15-20% of the people who SAY they are going to do something to actually DO it. I don't think I've ever gotten to 50% participation.

But - just like with the original 'First-Aid Systainer' project - nearly 100% of the people who said they wanted one actually followed through and bought one. The original commitment was for 40. Well, we blew past that and we even picked up a few NEW FOG MEMBERS along the way! Unless I see more orders before noon today, the total stands at 48.
Way to go, FOGger's!!!

And THANK YOU for once again trusting me with your hard-earned money for several months while we wait for the slow boat from Germany to get here!

I'll post the final list later tonight, as I have some personal things to attend to today. (BTW, one of those 'personal things' includes spending some time in the shop. I'll start a new thread for that!)

Now, there's still a little time to get an order in if you forgot or changed your mind, but as of 7am here's the list:

Just a thought. Since you are having the Systainers for the first-aid kits shipped over the pond, would you consider adding a few Systainer 2 in Orange to be in the same shipment?

Interesting idea! Let me ask about doing that...

What about just doing an orange latch on a Sys 2 attic lid? You can't get an attic lid in orange, but you can get the gray version and put an orange latch on it?

Now this could get interesting!

The orange latches work fine, but there is another post about MANY people wanting Systainer 2 in orange with black latches. As I said, just a thought.

The final count for the Mini First Aid Systainer Orders is a nice, round 50!!! Way to go FOGgers!

I am still looking into the possibility of somehow being able to offer the orange T-Loc systainers, but it may be a few more days until I have an answer.*IF* I can I will start a new thread.
