I'm thinking of buying some Mini TL's.
What do people use them for and what's your views on them?

I don't have any T loc minis, but I have a couple of the old style ones. I use them for storing my router bits, although really I need something bigger as my collection has grown considerably recently!

I guess I'm really trying to justify buying a bunch, I do have a lot of odds and sods in the workshop so I could use them there.
We shouldn't really be trying to justify buying Festool, but I have to get all these purchases through the purse control.
They do look cute so i might just bit the bullet.

What would you put in them? Mind you I havent seen them IRL, but they kind of seem too small to be useful to me. Even a regular sys1 isn't that spacious.

I use one as a first aid kit, one to keep biscuits in (no domino yet!), I use one for Miller dowels and related drill bits etc, one for glue brushes (I get through a lot of disposable glue brushes!); I like minis a lot, they work well for me.

Cheers,
Rick

I bought a T-loc micro a couple of weeks ago, just because I thought it was cool/cute. Now that IS too small to be really useful (other than for holding the business cards that I don't have...).

You can always store your keys to the van in it when on site.  [wink]

Festoolviking

I just got two minis, and am going to store collet sets for a metal lathe and mini mill in them. Should be much nicer than the cheapo wood boxes the collets came in.

I'm now convinced I need some. If nothing else they'll look nice on the shelves.
I like the idea of the lathe bits and bobs.

They'll come in very useful on my narrowboat, as I've things scattered all over.

I build hifi speakers and restore vintage hifi gear as a ompatible hobby to the woodworking, The minis work well to store the various electronic components and connectors that go with the hobby. They also work well to store the measurement jigs, mics, and cables.

I have a bunch of mini's

I'm am/was much more fond of the Mini-IIs, that are slightly taller than the standard Mini Systainer, but I haven't seen such in the T-Locs.

Anyway, I use a pair of a more-mobile first aid kit.  Bandaids, tweezers, gauze, etc in the upper one, easy to get to.  More serious stuff in the lower one.  Clipped together it's a little tiny portable clinic (i.e for camping; road trips, etc, and I keep it in my first floor utility closet).

I use a few for holding pistols with up to two extra magazines.

I have the Festool socket set (which is SO nice).  Latched to this set, I have another mini which holds a HD "Husky" socket set that was a pretty good fit within the box, and has non-metric sizes.

I use the T-Loc micro to hold CR2032 and other small batteries for various things-- primarily digital measuring devices, and spare batteries for my ear muffs/ radio.

And I have a red Mini which I used to create a kids toolbox kit for my daughters.
This last one is my favorite use.   :-)

Lots of suggestion here that I never even thought of, the First Aid Kit is a good one, my FAK is spread all over the workshop.

I  have a few mini classic , one with holesaws in , one for stuff for my scms , a couple for odds and sods , and this one .( note to self  . I need to change the ones i take to site to tloc )
