Mini Vacuum low suction

I have a fairly new Festool Mini vacuum. This is the second one i have owned, so I am very familiar with the vacuum. For some reason it doesn't have much suction. The hose / filter are not clogged and the bag is empty. The motor seems to be running at a lower RPM, like it is struggling. Which causes the entire vacuum to vibrate when it is on. Has anyone else experienced this?

No, but it sounds bad.I would take the motor off the tub remove the filter and run up the motor and if it still sounds poorly it can not be any other factors affecting the motor. I would then look at sending it off for repair.

ah brice , i  think that was a bit harsh. [eek]

i feel the reason for asking here was because he thought it might be something small or his fault. i know i hate ringing up because something doesnt work right only to be told it is something stupid i should have seen.

but brice is right at the back of it [wink]. give festool a ring it might be serious.

Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't intend it to harsh.  The user has experience with this vac so I'm sure he's checked all the usual suspects first.  If that's case a quick call to Festool service department would yield the fastest results.

David do come back and tell us how you got on with the vacuum.we all like to hear how well festool handled the repair for you..

Brice,

I thought the same thing, but I do not believe that the Festool Service Department has Sunday hours.

You're right, no Sunday hours but I'd bet he first noticed this when he was at work on Friday. [tongue]  All the same Festool asks users to call them instead of posting here first.  I was just helping get that message across, not that it's my place to do that........ [embarassed]

brice it is not what you said because you were right. but you could have sugar coated it abit.
