I finally got around to cutting down the Conturo MFT top I grabbed when I got the used system. I've got a small shop so the full table was a bit too much ask.

After cutting it down though and using it, I noticed the weight of the edgeband roll was pulling down and skewing the result. Something hand-held mode I never had a problem with. Well, out comes the holder but I needed to 3d print a receiver that utilizes the clasp it has to nominally bind to the Conturo. This setup has worked well for small drawer parts and other smaller boards.

It's still compact though when not in use. But with the Conturo in, despite the depth being 20", the butt end of the Conturo and the pigtail it has juts out another 6" and needs to be pulled away from the wall.

Great work! Looks like a size appropriate and a great solution. I have gone back and forth on a Conturo for a couple years. I think going the used route like you did might be best for me. I have just never found one a used system at a good price when ready to buy. You have inspired me to look again.
