The one aspect I dislike in the Ceros is how the hose attaches to the sander. It has to screw on:

Here it is with a Festool 27mm hose, although I now use the Mirka 27mm hose ...

What I am seeking is a way to attach the hose with a push-on connector. I envisage using a 0.5m length of hose screwed into the back, as above (the length of this hose will keep the weight of the sander low). Then adding a connector to the end of this hose which will accept a Festool plug. That will enable the use of a few hoses as well.

My question: is there a push-on connector that can be used, and if so, where does one find it?

Hey Derek,
    Some time ago someone suggested a plumbing joint fitting - I think it's a rubber 1 1/2"x1 1/2" connector.

Below are some images of how it works on mine. You have to stretch it a bit to make it fit fine on the end of the sander and you have to push the Festool hose all the way in to make it fit in the collar on the hose but it works fine.

Hope this helps!
