mirka sander with ct36

curious if theres any special pad i should apply to the mirka if i plant to sand curves (like dished out seats) with the edge of the sanding wheel, not flat like normal.

For scooping stuff out that is where an RO-90 could be better, so one of the grinder attachments.
I would put on the 5" pad for that, but i have the 5"/6" combo unit.

As far as the trigger lock, I usually am done after 10-20 minutes.... so I just switch hands...

the variable speed paddle was very disappointing. it has a delay on it. you can't work the sander on curves like you would with an air sanders.
