Help!
I just bought a Makita LS1013FL 10" SCMS. This replaced my old 12" Dewalt 708 that I had on a Dewalt 723 stand. I got rid of this combo because it was loud, very little DC and just too big for my shop. I have searched EXTENSIVELY for a new miter saw stand and have had no luck finding what I want. I realize that I might have to just build my own, but I've got a number of pieces I need to get started on and have already spend a month doing shop projects.
What I'm looking for is something with a small footprint that ideally has wings with a fence that can be extended out as needed for longer stock. Also some type of DC would be nice. I was pretty settled on one of the Rousseau stands as well as their Downdrafter DC hood. However, I took a look at one yesterday, I didn't like the working height (36"). It's also pricey.
I happened to stop at a few places that had good Festool setups and realized that the height of an MFT would be perfect. An old MFT 800 would probably work, if I could find one -- but seems like overkill - especially if I still need to figure out extendable wings and DC.
Anyone found a solution for a similar situation w/o having to just build it?
Thanks
Carl
