Modifying Woodpecker PRL-V2 thumbwheel question

Hello All.  Came across a video of a PRL-V2 mod.  Trying to see if anyone has done it or what parts are needed?
start at 4:40 mark.  I want to do the same just not sure what parts are needed.

Actually many years ago WP had an option (that I purchased) called the “sidewinder” that did this. With my PRL-V2 I have a 1/4” socket drive extension that comes out front just under the table. When I need to raise/lower the router I just use a 1/4” ratchet that I dedicated to the router table. Works much better than the wheel.

I took a couple of pics of mine. Ha - it's more Rube Goldberg than I thought but it worked for 15 years without an issue.
