Monitor stand.

Looks great, Walnut and Maple, gotta love that.
That looks like some nice, air-dried stock, grain contrast is really good.

Awesome grain on the walnut. How are the side slides working out? I always had trouble reducing friction with the slide side setup, especially if any wood movement happens over time, and so converted over to underside center slides some years ago.

Thanks everyone. The slides are quite loose so work fine for now. I forget to add a stop for the drawer. Not sure how the movement will impact.

It’s not complex. Just two rails and dados cut in drawers. It’s very “loose” so I don’t think there will be that much movement that will impact the drawer. But who knows!

I hope it works for you.
My monitor raiser/riser has no drawer. I like being able to use the space without having to clear the main desk area to pull out a drawer.

Looks great! Thanks for the photos, it's smaller than I expected so the weight of the drawer (being cocked as it is pushed in) is also less of a concern. All that's left to suggest, if you haven't done it already, is to add some thin rubber bumpers/feet under the sides. Should have a fantastic grip on that glossy table surface.

I like the clearance under the drawer and I'm sure the back adds a lot to the strength. It should be fine.

I like how it provides a feeling of warmth into the area.

Our son has that same cute wiggly fella on his computer desk! ( forgot his name — Groot❓ )

Nice work!

The wood contrast is nice and the handcut dovetails look fine. The nails on the runners will take care of wood movement nicely, too.

Yea. I hate the glass desk top. Wanted a standing desk that motorized up and done. During Covid only one I could find. I thinking of removing the glass and replace with a wood top. And yea , he is groot.
