Moulding around a curved cabinet: need help!

Brice, ok, ok, since we are getting serious......

I had a chat with Homer, he said to wet the wood,  suspend it between two points and put a heavy weight on it.

if the radius is not too small, and you have access to a steam machine.you should be able to bend that shoe mold.

A shower works well too, as Per has stated. I don't think he was kidding, I have done it myself.

What a trove of information. Thanks! The maple is going to have a clear finish, so no MDF. Not sure what I'll do yet - I've done routing of this sort, and could pull that off. I've never done laminating or steaming, though it's something I'd love to learn. We just got a new shower, so perhaps this is the occasion to try it out as a woodworking tool  :D. Might as well get my money's worth.

Yes, I forgot to get the cabinet guy to include the floor moulding in his estimate. All but about 2 feet of it is linear, and I don't think I'll have any problem installing it myself (the cabinet guy even offered to lend me his Bostitch pin nailer and compressor). It's just that curved portion. Given that I don't do this professionally, I figure I may as well take some time and do a nice job. Probably gonna live with it for a long, long time. Or at least until I can refill my bank account...

Thanks again for all the great ideas.
