Thanks for the mention [member=41421]Peter[/member] . The racking issue isn't really a problem if deeper sections are held by the vise. For holding small pieces as you showed I guess low profile dogs on the top of the bench would be the easiest way to secure them. There will be many variations of this kind of vise for years to come and each will have its pluses and minuses.  [cool]
