Hi gang,
Just wanted to share another simple unit I made with stuff hanging about from EUREKAZONE namely the SLIDING MODULE EXTRUSION i had in my workshop, I wanted to do some square routed holes in a unit and was about to buy a Multi Routing Kit but boy it was expensive just for a few bits of aluminium channel even the MFS 400 which is 400mm long is $400 AUD......geez thought thats a killer and only 400mm long to boot. So I got to thinking I had 4 lengths of SLIDING MODULE EXTRUSION at 800 LONG so I only wanted to do a few holes and I came up with this, it is adustable by using 90° angle brackets standard from hardware and a few bolts and made my own and it did the trick, worked out fine and I saved about eleventy million dollars in the process.....I love the FESTOOL tools, but gee they get at you with the accessories at times, I mean it's only aluminium extrusion with a little bit of hardware, sort of like my 3m track saw rail at $650 UD I mean geez extrusion at $200 a metre, go away from this industry and see how much aluminium extrusion is of sorts and it's dirt cheap, so my invention is cheap and worked fine...the EUREKAZONE stuff was $10 a foot, lets say $100 bucks for what FEstool one would have cost about $560 AUD for the 700mm version. But I do love my FESTOOLTOOLS
