Not sure if this has been posted on here before - possibly not, because it's buried a bit on the Festool site as it's only an accessory (it comes in some of the mixer kits)

Basically a wide dust extractor nozzle that hooks onto the side of your mixing bucket/tub to control the clouds of dust that usually hit you in the face when you pour powdered compounds in:

Wow, nice find and thanks for sharing. I didn't know this existed. Could have used it the last 2 days as I was plastering, and was deeply annoyed by the cloud of dust that escapes when you poor your bag in the water. I do wonder how effective it is, that's a large area you have to cover. I'll be keeping an eye on this to see if I can find one somewhere.

PS, what an amateur picture by Festool, that wall isn't even primed! j/k  [smile]

I was wondering that... but equally, I was wondering if it might be a little too effective if you accidentally poured a little too close to that side of the bucket and half your plaster disappeared into your CT.

This is great. as soon as I saw this I remembered the last time i poured mortar and had a nice inhalation of dust.

For what it's worth there is also a non festool version too.  I think it's called a whale tale.  Just incase the festool one isn't available in some markets.

Those are fancy. For that amount of money I would just make one from ABS...FREE. Or continue doing what I already do which is to use a $0.99 spring clamp from Home Depot, which appears to catch at least 95% of the dust if I pour materials like thinset slowly. I am using a CT36 AC setup for concrete dust though.https://www.homedepot.com/p/Anvil-2-in-Spring-Clamp-99691/302755764

No fancy mixers here, just a cheap $122 Milwaukee cordless mixer that so far is working great. I've been using it with ship auger drill bits for making holes in stumps to pour killer poison into  [scared]

Edit: iPhones don't play nice with the FOG. Not at all friendly *sigh*

“Edit: iPhones don't play nice with the FOG. Not at all friendly *sigh*”

I couldn’t upload photos for months. Recently found a fairly simple method that works.

Send photo to my gmail. Photo is generally about 2mb to start.

In Gmail copy photo and select add to Photos.

In the Fog add attachment and choose the new version from Photos, now about 200kb.

I used Inline full size image and it shows up at a good size and clear enough.

You guys should learn how to resize your photos with the iPhone. There are literally tons of apps for that.

Modern telephones take pictures that are 4 or 5 MB big, while 2 MB is the maximum size allowed on the FOG.

The FOG is run on a single server, and if everybody upladed huge pictures, its storage would be full quickly. You are used to sites like FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram, which have entire SERVER FARMS to run on.

Every picture I upload is sized in Photoshop on the PC. My pic above is 190 Kb. I can do the same on my Samsung S8 Android phone.

I was posting from my Macbook after grabbing the photo from my phone. I had forgotten to resize it, and emailing it is super simple, or there are plenty of programs to do so. Really the boards software should do so, just like Facebook does, along with pretty much every board. The iPhone saves the photo as an .HEIC so I tried just changing the name to .JPEG which used to work, but not anymore. So from now on it requires opening a program. Never do I post photos directly from my phone and I surely wouldn't let Facebook have access to my pictures.
