My CTL-SYS sucks, until it doesn‘t...

I only DIY. I do not have a shop. Or a garage or anything, really.
So all my woodworking is currently limited to spaces I have to immediately clean and clear after the job is done.

This leads to a big push for more Systainers and organization and a slight „Minimalist“ approach to any project.
On the quick things in between I love to use the CTL-SYS, because of the light handling and because it actually does not perform too different from the CTL 26, just in a tiny package.
I am currently building a DeWalt Sawhorse-based MFT-Horse (Tip of my head to @Scorpion for the great inspiration!).
Yesterday I drilled 120 holes into a piece of MDF (another hat-tip to @Peter Parfitt for the Parf Guide System!) to get all the holes in one go.

Today I cut the piece down for the final dimensions.

On the last cuts I noticed a slight decrease in dust collection.
When I finished, I checked and found the Hose and CTL-Sys filled to the brim.

It was really performing very well until the last 3-4 cuts, which might almost be the sawdust that filled the 2,5m hose.
I am continuously marveled by the great performance of the littlest of the CTs. Great gear. Can’t imagine being without it!

My ct sys does great as well, but the moment the suction seems to have dropped I know the bag is maxed out.

You do know about the cardboard pull tab to cover the bag hole once the bag is full, right. Just making sure. It keeps the bag changing process clean. Pull it before removing the bag, less mess.

Yes, I know. It was impossible this time, with the dust clogging up inside the Hose, I opted for some more of a mess on top of the bag, but resulting in a clean Vac/Bag compartment.

Normally the dust gets so compacted inside the CTL-SYS that it is a brick all around with a hole where the Höse comes in. Makes for a nice clean switchover. And it also lets me know that it is getting full by “slurping”.

This time, I somehow got surprised. Maybe I was to deep into dreams of the next projects... ;)

I suggest to get a small cyclone, should you be able to spare the space (and the money).

yup..esp the size of that ct bag and the space. a small dust deputy would be worth every penny.
