I spent the weekend working the local woodshow for Lie Nielsen Toolworks (sold Mirko a scraper!!!)

Anyhow, got home tonight and helped my wife put the kids to bed. Came downstairs afterwards and my wife started to laugh and pointed at my curly maple door on the Computer cabinet. Here is why:

Good to see you Dan,
Nice looking Shaker door, did you re-saw the maple with your Laguna?

I had fun at the show, I met the owner of Cadex, he lives in Vancouver, anyhoo he gave me some headed 23g nails to try in my gun, (up until now i've been using headless)I was happy to have met him.

Thanks for the scrapers!

Mirko

Hey Mirko

I resawed them on the Laguna and handplaned them to thickness and tearout free. Never sanded them at all.

Lemme know how you make out with the new pinless nails and don't bring that nailgun/ails around my house. I can't afford anymore tools

Cheers

Dan,
Did you have a look at the Cadex guns at the show?
BTW Summit Tools has them on for 209.00 right now, thats cheeper than any Festool!!

Dan, Tooooo Funny.  I am sitting here laughing at a similar Barbie scenario.  When my oldest boy (ratboy as we call him) was 8, he thought it would be cool to get his little 3 year old brother (fat-head as we call him) a  full sized Barbie for Christmas.  One evening shortly there after, fat-head was in the tub playing with his action figures, as 3 year old do.  Momma and I loved to just sit outside of the bathroom and listen to the dialog fat-head would lend to his "adventures in the tub."

So here is how the conversation went:

Oh Hi, what's your name?

My name is Bat Man, what's your name?

MY NAME IS BAHBI, AND I AM GOING TO RULE DA EARF!

Evidently "bahbi" didn't dig what was going down in tubville, and decided to take out the entire collection of super-heros.  The tsunami that ensued had me wiping up water for an hour....LOLOLOLOL

Kids truly are the meaning of life.  It's 7 am, 8 years later, you have a sticker of Barbie on a gorgeous piece of curly maple, and there is nothing else that matters other than my kids are still making me laugh.

However, then they turn 15!!!!  Da da dunnnnnnnnn

Thanks for sharing that Dan, you have made my day and it is just getting rolling.  It really puts things into perspective doesn't it?

Timmy
