Hi Everyone

I hope that the Mods will understand why this is here and not in some distant corner of the FOG....

Phil Beckley has had a close call and is currently taking a few days off work to recover from what appears to be a blood clot on the lung. He had to spend a few days in hospital and has had the very best care from the most brilliant doctors and nurses.

Now Phil's normal work schedule is such that he takes about a month to even read one of my emails, at least that is why he says it takes so long to reject my latest request for kit to use in my videos. But a few days ago he came back straight away and told me that he was not well. He is 200 miles away from me and I really wish it were possible to just nip up and see him.

So, the next best thing is for everyone who knows Phil or has benefitted from his advice over the years to send him a message on this thread.

Get well soon Phil.

Very shocked to hear this, get well soon Phil. Always ready to help anyone and is just so funny and informative when he is doing his demos.

Get well soon Phil, a Massive part of Festool UK

A speedy and complete recovery along with our best wishes, Phil,
from Hans, Eric and the TSO Team here in the USA

Phil, please pace yourself and recover at your own speed...remember that there’s a time to let things happen and there’s also a time to make things happen.  [big grin]

Get well soon Phil- take it easy and spend some time watching the Tour de France.  Just don't cheer too heavily!

Regards,
Gerald

Wow, really sorry to hear the news.  One never knows when illness is about to strike.

Get well soon.

It's often hard to see a bright side to such events, but there is.  You've had a near miss, but now your predisposition to clots is known, you will likely be given medication to stop it happening again.  Without this warning shot, you would have gone on untreated and the first time you had known about it could have been much worse.

Anyway, as I said, get well soon, and our thoughts and wishes are with you and your family.

Andrew

Wow Phil,

I sorry to hear about your illness.

On a good note they found it in time so you are able to get it treated and go on with your life.

Now you need to rest, do exactly what the Drs tell you to do.

If you are able to keep working and you and your wonderful family ever make it out west to Calif or to visit Steve at Las Vegas.

We have close relatives (BIL/SIL/compadres) in Las Vegas.

Please let me know.

Mrs Jobby and I would love to see you again and open her kitchen to you ( you know how she likes to cook).

We wish you a speedy recovery. But dont rush to get back to work take your time recover properly ( I know how youre the type that cant just sit and relax you have to keep busy all the time)

Take care my friend.....

Hope you get well soon Phil. I'm sure you'll follow medical advice and won't rush to get back to work; our bodies need time to heal so take it easy.

And if Festool UK need any secret new products tested before you're back up and at it, just let me know. Always happy to help!

Take care.
