Hi all, here's my version of sysport. Is made of 3/4 white melamine with 2x4 frame and 3inch casters. Also used the LR-32 to do 32mm holes on the sides so that the slides can be adjust to fit different configurations and systainer sizes. Any comments welcome ! Frank

Used material list:
MFT/3 original top
GlideRite 14'' full extension slides with 1inch over-travel (1470ZC)
3/4'' white melamine
Steelex D2608 3-Inch 220-Pound Swivel Double Lock Polyurethane Plate Caster from Amazon
2x4 frame
about 120 dominos 4x20, 5x30, 6x 40,
Incra t-track 48''

That is mint!  Looks awesome and it's great to be able to relocate as needed!!!

Is it the same height as an MFT, by chance? Looks great, and has me thinking...

Very nice work!

I have a couple of questions:

1) What are dimensions used?
2) Did you use dominos to "join" the base frame to all the upright panels (it looks like that in one of your pictures, but I can't be sure if that was just for the top).

All your missing is a couple of "Festool" logos and perhaps a racing green strips and members of FOG will be putting in pre-orders.  [thumbs up]

Front and rear: 45 1/16 x 29 1/16
      side panel: 31 7/16 x 29 1/16
I don't used domino to join the base frame to all upright panels. Frame is fixed with upright panels all around. Frank

I have been planning to make my own sysport for over three years.  Every month or so, I will do a Google search for homemade designs.  Most look too much like bad copies of the original design.  Your design is the best I have seen!  Great job!  I hope you will not mind if I copy it?  I definitely could use extensions to my MFT/3.  I can figure out the dimensions myself, but I have a couple of questions:

1)  Did you purchase the top from Festool, or did you make it yourself?
2)  The drawer slides do not look familiar from what I can see in the pictures, where did you find them and what are the dimensions?

I never started my project because I had planned to make out of Baltic Birch Plywood.  I calculated the cost and freaked out!  Your use of inexpensive materials is sheer genius!  I love it dude!  You have inspired me to build one!

You can copy my design, no problem!
1) the top is original MFT/3 $152
2) I purchase slides from gliderite.com
14'' full extension slides with 1inch over-travel (type 1470ZC) 10pair about $65
I used three sheets of 3/4 white melamine $24 per one! Cheaper then 3/4'' MDF!
front of drawers is 1/2'' soft maple
Now I have all 10 systainers  in one place  [big grin]

I REALLY like this design!! Has given me several ideas. Thinking I could build one virtually identical and another that would hold my current MFT/3 with legs folded and storage underneath. That way I could set my own height and still have the MFT/3 available for portable needs. Also, I could have a removable platform between the 2 tables at a lower level to set my miter saw on and use the table tops as extensions and use the MFT holes to drop in fence extensions. Hmm. Can think of several uses. Going to have to analyze your design more!!

Very well done stand; you'll like having it at the same height as the MFT/3 for expansion.  And nice presentation in the post with lots of photos.

Duh, picture 10 makes it pretty obvious. Can't believe I missed it. I sure am envious of level floors and a wide open shop though!

I can't tell from the pictures - what prevents the Systainers from moving from side to side?  I'm asking because I have strong intentions of plagiarizing your design, so I want to be sure I have inquired about all the details!  This is really, really nicely done.

Two dominos on back side  holds systainers on place. Between slides and systainer is just 1/16 of inch space!
