My latest Humidor finished. ( Now with a detailed description of the build)

The detail in this is very impressive, to say the least!  I am extremely interested in seeing the steps taken to build something like this, as I sure the rest of the people watching this thread are.  I'm a total newbie, so I'm pretty much mystified, and have no clue how you'd go about doing something like that without risking cutting your fingers off...

Unfortunately I built this before the contest too, so I didn't document the build. I am going to build another one soon though, so I will document it for sure. These are another case of the harmony between Festool and Incra.

Of course, we'd love to see another one!  However, you don't have to build another one just for the contest.  If you want, go back in and fill in thee process details for this project.

We are already strapped buying so many festool to be able to invest in the incra kit. :D

When you are ready, check Woodpeckers for prices. I've found them to have great pricing on Incra stuff.

Beautiful Humidors !

My wishlist pics for stock,

Arturo Fuente Double Robusto
Cohiba Black Maduro Corona
Hoyo de Monterrey Churchill Maduro
H. Upmann
Macanudo
Montecristo Double Corona
Partagas
Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild

;D

My friend, you have great tase in Cigars. Any Arturo Fuente works for me. Pretty much any Macanudo will do too. Cohiba BMC won't hurt my feelings as well. :D

I thought I'd mention I'm building another one almost the same as this one so I could document the build for those of you that would like to try this project. I don't think I'll make it for this months contest but I'll try. For those of you with incra jigs I'll be giving you some slightly different techniques than the owners manual says to do but I think you can get better results using my way. I'll keep you all up dated asap.  ;)

Awesome, thanks man! :)

Well, I was doing the lid, everything looked great. Then the disaster. I sanded through the veneer. >:( Sooo this project has encountered a little set back. I'll be back on track in a day or 2. Not going to make this months contest. Good news is, for those of you that want to build one of these, you should be able to easily after I post the documentary. That is if you don't mind a long read. ;D

Your not going to believe it. I fixed the veneer in the center........sanded through the outer veneer. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(. It's about 1/8th by 1/4. I could hide it, but I'd know it was there. Oh well, live & learn. :-\

Rookie my patootie,

your work speaks for itself and is museum quality.

But a bit of advice if I may.

Humbleness and self deprecation only works before people have seen your work. ;D

I guess if I re-do it enough times I can get pretty good at it. ;) If it weren't 106 degrees these days, this lid might have been firewood. :o
