OK...so my LOML got me a new T15 drill and ETS 150/3 for Christmas!  I was excited to try the drill and got the charger plugged in an inserted the battery...the little yellow light stayed lit.  No green flashing to indicate that it should be charging.  Tried it with the other battery -- same result.  I plug it into different outlets thinking that might be an issue...that was not it!  I am thinking great, something faulty with the charger.  I know my local service rep pretty well and I give him a call to see if he has any solutions.  He is in San Diego making his rounds and he offers to stop by my house on his way home to Los Angeles to try and trouble shoot it for me.  If it was faulty he was going to let me borrow one of his chargers until I could get mine serviced.  This is all on New Year's Eve of all things.  I continue to be impressed with his commitment to get my issue resolved.  So long story, I tried it one more time and I looked more closely at my battery and the charger and realized that I had not pushed the battery all the way in!! [embarassed]  Once it clicked in, the little green light flashed and the battery charged as it should -- problem solved.  A quick call to my rep and he can get home to his family earlier and I have a drill that works as it should!  Got several holes to drill this weekend in a small space and I am very much looking forward to using the right angle chuck.

So, thanks Festool for the great service!  I also wanted to post this in case anyone else had this same thing happen...hope it saves a moment of panic!

Happy New year!

Scot, you must not have read the manual.  If you had, you would have known the yellow only comes on when the users is being an idiot. [poke] Just kidding, have a great New Year. [thumbs up]

Oh yes! The famous idiot lights! My wife never did figure those out on our cars. That red one for overtemp was a near financial killer! Manual? Who needs a stinkin manual.

Now Festool has started putting idiot lights on the chargers. What is the world coming to?  :)

I had the same thing the first time I used the charger. Did figure it out before calling the service department though. [smile]
