Nice machine. I've picked up a couple of  good quality  hammer machines  second hand.

Yeah the Hammer machines are great qaulity, and even better if you can pick them up in great condition 2nd hand. I 'be been having a good play around with the K3 and I love it. It came with a silent power 96t cross cutting blade which leaves a lovely finish so I have ordered the silent power 28t ripping blade from Felder which should be here this week then I'm covered for both operations.

I'l see what I can do Kev I made a test cut with some 63mm European oak this afternoon and it went through like butter  [big grin], I'm making some cutting boards out of hard maple and walnut at the weekend so I'l see if I can get some footage of it ripping those and post a link  [wink]

I have that blade in my machine.  Does  indeed  take 3" deep oak like butter.
Yeah it's a great ripping blade, I was very impressed with the ease it ripped through the oak. The blade that came with the saw is a 96t 15* top grind atb which will be great for laminates and veneered boards but I think I might also pick up the silent power 48t 10* top grind atb for everyday cross cutting in solid timber and sheet goods.

Ripped up the material for my chopping board today and took a vid of ripping the hard maple and black walnut with the new 28t blade took a couple of vids as requested by Kev  [wink]
Hopefully the links will work [big grin]
