Today my 1st Festool purchase (TS-55 REQ) arrived and I was disappointed to find the plastic insert was cracked. I sent the dealer an email with pictures and I'm waiting for their reply. I'm still excited to try out the saw, but now I have to run my son to cub scouts.

I know your dealer or Festool will make it right for you!

That said, it does not effect (affect?) the saw, and probably not the storage of the saw - but I understand wanting it to all be 100%

Anyhow, have fun with your new tool!

And, welcome to the FOG!  [welcome]

Welcome to the FOG!  The inserts have been known to not hold up as well as the tools during shipping but as already stated don't worry - it will be sorted out.

Personally I love reading about newcomers to the track saw experience so if you feel so inclined after you give it try please post your thoughts and experiences.

The saw worked great and a Festool rep contacted within minutes to help resolve my issue. Not only am I extremely impressed with my new tool, but the customer service is amazing. I can't wait for the rest of my order to show up.

It was 37F in the garage, so I only made a few test cuts before heading back inside. I was extremely happy with the operation, handling and cuts compared to my table and circular saw. I'm waiting on my 118" guide rail, parallel guides, MFT and a few other items so I can start breaking down some 3/4" birch for a project I'm starting.

Nice to see someone from my neck of the woods here! I'm just up the road from you in Concord. Just got my TS 55 last week and am loving it so far.

Awesome. I work in Concord off International drive. My company moved me out here a little over a year ago from Austin, TX.

My Vecturo came with a significantly cracked insert.  Actually, there is about a two inch long hole in it.  So, who did you contact, the dealer or Festool?  I hated to say anything to my dealer for something like a cracked insert, but maybe I should go ahead and get a replacement?

Just give the service department a buzz.

Thanks Shane.  Done.
