Hi guys long time fan here. Just pulled the trigger on my first shop and I am in a process of setting it up. Here are photos of before and my progress so far. Latest is my bench build that will receive drawers soon. Cheers.

Holy smokes!!  What an upgrade already  [big grin]  Great space, looking forward to more...off to a really nice start there.

Great space!  What is under the fridge?  I don't even have enough space to consider a fridge.

Quit lying to us - that's not even the same building!

[big grin]

Seriously, what an amazing transformation. It went from being a darn-near-dungeon to an operating theater. Kudo's to you for having the vision to see it.

I especially like your angled bench arrangement. I have several machines in my shop that are angled in a similar manner to allow long materials to be more easily maneuvered and 'sneak' through places that otherwise wouldn't fit.

Nice job!

I also like the way that you are taking advantage of your vertical space.

Ha, same place completely different take on what shop should look and work like. Since its my first man cave might as well start it right.

This is a great progress!
My room is one big chaos. But I love it.

[wink]

Alkaline, just remember that a cluttered desk is a reflection of a busy mind...guess what an empty desk is a sign of

And progress slowly moves forward. Looks like this week I will have finally Kapex station and dust extractor done. Stay tuned...

very nice indeed, but I spotted a serious issue.  Not enough green boxes, you need to at least double the amount you have currently.  [big grin]

Also love the huge MFT on wheels, you find that you roll it around much?  Only got a quick glance on your floor, I assume it is the same floor you just put a finish on is all (what finish out of curiosity)?

Ha, I assure you that I have nice stack of systainers, 26 to be specific. Kapex, CMS, 2 MFTs, 2 vacuums, CT work center, all rails and so on.
Big MFT is getting walnut drawers right now and it does need those casters to push table around and to level it.
Floors are old plywood CDX that i sanded and stained with Minwax gunstock and 2 coats of clear on top.
