Hey Guys, I'm new to the FOG (and Festool) just thought I would show off my project from this afternoon, tell me what you think! I'm actually an electrician but the organization that Festool products offer makes them a must have for me.

First post!  Welcome to the FOG.  The drawers are really a space saver!

Nicely done!  I like how you put sort-tainers across the top with the back-stops to keep them registered.

How did you deal with those drawers that were side by side screwing into 3/4" material?  What length / type of screws to mount to the ply?

thanks for sharing

Thanks! I didn't see much purpose behind putting a drawer inside a drawer for the sortainers, plus the bottom drawers don't open when they are sitting inside the Sys-Az.

For the side by side I used 3/4" connecting screws instead of the supplied screws. They worked out great!

Welcome to the FOG. Your sys A-Z build is looking very nice. At a guess I would say that there was more than an afternoons work gone into this build. I find the longest part on builds like this, is getting the design and practicality right.

Very true! I didn't really account the design of it all. Getting the right height was a little tricky.

First thing you learn (if it's the first time) about putting cabinets against open frame it to block the gaps [wink]

[welcome] to the spend that never ends [big grin] [big grin]

[big grin] I wasn't being critical of your build BTW .. really nice cab. I need to make a bunch of those!

I didn't think so  [wink] I can definitely see something like maybe a TXS battery falling down there, that would be bad. Ill slip some butcher block back their to extend the top into the framing.

The floor is awesome  [big grin]

Did you use left overs from a flooring store or?

Cabinet is nice too.

The floor was actually used in a catalog photo shoot, so there wasn't much of any one type. I just grabbed the whole stack, so now theres a bunch of leftover  [big grin]

Oh man, thats a sweet job you made there. Making me feel guilty now. Gotta sort my mess out. Another job on the to do list.

Awesome job you have done there - really nicely organised!

I have to ask, being very new to Festool stuff myself, what is it that you have the systainers sitting in if I may ask please?  Are these drawers designed to hold a systainer and provide a pull out drawer style function?  If so, is there a part number for these?

I ask because I should replicate something like this myself in order to get organised >.>
