Hi,

In #2 it's all about the Gedore No. 45 E and Knipex TwinKey 00 11 01, two universal/multi fitting/control cabinet keys.

The Gedore rides in my pocket and I put a bit in it that I'm very likely to use at whatever I'm doing. For example: Saturday I sanded with my DTS, so I kept a T-15 bit in it in case I had to change the sanding pad. Being pen shaped it feels pretty good in the hand when being used as a screwdriver and easily fits in the pocket. Additionally you have the means to open most common maintenance doors/service hatches.

The Knipex is the "does it all" type version. Including opening doors & windows that have no handles installed yet - can be pretty neat when working in or around a new build or on major renovation project. I keep mine together with a Leatherman Micra Tool, small flashlight and another Gadget or two on a leash and try to keep it accessible at all times. I haven't used it much once all of the major stuff was done, but it's a good feeling it is there and I always bring it when I'm asked to help - again, especially when there's a high chance that doors and windows will be without handles for the time being.

Both tools are not too expensive. The Gedore can be had for less than 30 EUR, and the Knipex for less than 20 EUR.

Here's the short clip. ;)

Kind regards,
