I have been having a bit of a play with the new OF2200 in the CMS. The new CMS router module (CMS-OF) has a few enhancements which make it quite a bit better the previous versions. I will chat about them later after a bit more exploring.... but here is a few images in the meantime.

This is outstanding, Anthony - I cannot wait to hear your opinions.
I have an offer of a very cheap deal on a 'basis' table with the mitre fence and sliding table - so that I would just need to add the CMS-OF to it to get the router table
Looking forward to what you have to say...

Hi Anthony,

That setup looks impressive.

Is there any way to add feather boards to the router table top?

Hi Ian,

'Featherboards' are incorporated into the guards. So you have a vertical and horizontal featherboard which quickly drop in place or move out of the way.  See pics.

Thanks Anthony,

Those last few pictures make things a little clearer. Looks like a nice router table. Maybe one day.

Anthony, that is just wrong!!!!! :( "NA Look Away" which just makes us look more, lust more and weep silently into our coffee.  ;) Beautiful setup as Mirboo said and while it may be awhile for him to purchase at least he CAN!!!!! :( :) Fred

So let me get this straight,

in other words correct me if I am wrong.

The only thing that is preventing me form having this set up is the switch?

I mean that is all it boils down too, no?

Granted, Anthony gonna charge me a mint in shipping,

or I could send over the jet, same cost I think ;D

But really folks, is there anything besides the switch?

Help me understand.

PS  I have friends that travel to Australia regularly,

and we know a bevy of flight attendants.

How about the diplomatic bag or something?

Per. I brought the Basis system for the 2000 router with me when I moved back from England. The electric system consists of a switch and a male and female plug.  Thats it. Chad

Thanks Chad,

See I m lookin at this thing and thinking,

anytime i can bring manufacturing to the

jobsite conveniently is just money in the bank.

I expect that Festool has already taken a crack at getting UL approval in the USA for these things.  If they have done so and failed, I wish that they would try again.  Can you try again if you have failed once?

I looked at that thread and see that Christian did hold out a small amount of hope.  He said:

Dave,

According to our R&D department it is pretty much hopeless to get those items approved. However, we keep looking for
possible solutions and who knows, maybe we find a way to get approval
.

I just do not understand. How can there be any problem with getting a power switch and cord approved? You can go into Wallyworld and find hundreds or more electrical items imported from China and elsewhere selling dirt cheap with power cords and switches with no quality at all and they are approved. This makes no sense at all to me. Just look at all the so called surge strips or cheap audio equipment all selling under $20. Please someone explain this. These companies surely didn't spend large amounts of money to get approved for a product selling for so little even with the quantity sales they do.

Sorry Fred it was a bit wrong - in retrospect I think I might have let my mean streak show a bit.  :) I must have been bullied as a kid and have been suppressing it until now.  :)  :) Actually I realise you guys in NA are missing out on this beauty, but I though I would Internationalise things up a bit and show it anyway.

IMPORT IT WITHOUT THE SWITCH..............................I CAN FIND ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Anthony, in your position I think we would have all let our our mean streaks and as it is so beautiful to see and wish for all is forgiven.  ;) Fred

I would trade half of what I have in my workshop for enough time to use the other half on backed-logged projects. Woe is me... I sound pathetic.  ::)
