Since most things electric or power tool wise need UL approval, that is costly to go through the process, add to that the US and the amount of frivolous lawsuits and the fact a lot of Americans don't buy or appreciate quality tools and Festool has lower market share all probably factor in. Now on certain accessories like others have mentioned, I guess it will remain a mystery.
